Dave Aplanalp
Dave and his wife Joanne and their 1 year old son Jake, moved to Summit County in 1978 so Dave could accept a position at South Summit High School teaching Agriculture and advising the FFA. They lived briefly in Kamas while building a home in Oakley, where they still reside. Sam was born in 1980 and Ben in 1982. Dave retired from South Summit School District in 2008 after 30 years of service.
Dave has helped with the Summit County Fair for 33 years, serving as a member of the livestock committee as well as on the Fair Board. He has been an active member of his church and has been involved with the 4-H and Boy Scouts of America. He and Joanne also have 3 wonderful daughters in law and 4 grandchildren.
